Day 3 of 3DAYFasting

To start from the beginning of this week’s series, click here.

How was your fasting day yesterday?

And how are you feeling this morning?

Feeling lighter

Improved skin condition

Better digestion

These are common responses from clients who have completed fasting.

As for me, I spent the day as usual. Since it’s the end of the year, I took some time to review my finances for the year. Money is a form of energy, and reflecting on it, calculating, and managing it can provide insights similar to those gained from meditation to me.

For Those Continuing a 5-Day Fast

At this point, you have two options:

1. Continue fasting today

If you feel physically and mentally fine, and you think you can continue fasting, give it another try today.
However, don’t push yourself too hard. If you experience dizziness, nausea, or other unusual symptoms, stop immediately. Take things slowly, prioritise rest, and stay hydrated with plenty of warm water.

If you feel hungry, use enzyme drinks to support your body. When fasting for two consecutive days, enzyme intake is especially important as it helps your body make the most of the remaining nutrients.

For more detailed information about enzymes, click here.

2. Take a break today and fast tomorrow

This option is safer and generally recommended, especially for those not used to fasting.
The body of someone unaccustomed to fasting may not adapt well to prolonged periods without nutrition. Therefore, it’s better to incorporate some nutrients today while preparing to fast again tomorrow.

Follow the same dietary plan as the 3-Day Fasting guide today, and resume fasting tomorrow.

Meal Plan for Day 3 and Day 5

Morning

Upon waking, slowly drink 500ml of warm water.

Skip breakfast.

Lunch

For lunch, opt for soft-cooked brown rice or brown rice porridge.

I often make rice balls with soft-cooked brown rice, shiitake mushrooms, and carrots. These are easy to take with me and are highly nutritious.

Dinner

For dinner, enjoy boiled tofu (yudofu) cooked with tender spring onions. It’s not only delicious but also provides a good source of protein.

In Middle Eastern cultures, it’s customary to eat dates after fasting. Dates are highly nutritious and often referred to as “the fruit of the gods.” Costco offers large, soft dates in bulk, which are both affordable and delicious.

Fasting and Gratitude

Skipping meals connects deeply with the detoxification of both the mind and body. Fasting allows you to appreciate the everyday meals we often take for granted.

However, it’s essential to practise fasting with the right knowledge. If you’re considering making fasting a regular habit, take the time to review the basics and do further research.

Regular fasting can significantly boost your awareness of beauty and health. Let’s embrace the journey! ✨
